Mark Harmon, known for his role on television’s ‘NCIS,’ has ventured into the realm of authorship with his first book, “Ghosts of Honolulu,” co-written with Leon Carroll, Jr. The book recounts the true story of Douglas Wada, the sole Japanese American agent in naval intelligence, and Takeo Yoshikawa, a Japanese spy at Pearl Harbor. Harmon, reflecting on his time portraying Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS, expressed the challenges of researching naval intelligence due to its intentionally secretive nature. The book is Harmon’s way of giving back to the NCIS community and shedding light on those who serve the country with little recognition.
