Tracy Summerfield, a mother from Manchester, initially dismissed a small spot in her nostril in 2015, believing it was just an infection. However, three years later, the spot had grown into skin cancer, reaching her upper lip. A biopsy revealed a cancerous tumor, and Tracy faced the prospect of disfiguring surgery. Despite the challenges, she proposed to her partner, Colin, and they decided to get married in Barbados.
After surgery to remove the tumor and reconstruct her face, Tracy struggled with her new appearance. She sought help from the charity Look Good Feel Better, receiving a makeover that helped conceal her scars. On her wedding day, Tracy used the makeup tips she learned and walked down the aisle confidently. She now embraces her scars as warrior marks, symbolizing her resilience.
