Tom Selleck, known for his role in the Jesse Stone film franchise, has confirmed that a new Jesse Stone film is in the works. However, this installment will deviate from the cumulative narrative of the previous films to acknowledge the character’s aging.
Selleck mentioned that the original script didn’t follow this path and that the franchise had been associated with the Hallmark Channel, which might change in the future. Despite this, the final Jesse Stone film is “sellable” and could find a new home if not on Hallmark. Tom Selleck, a fan favorite for decades, currently plays Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the CBS series Blue Bloods. The Jesse Stone franchise, based on Robert B. Parker’s novels, has been successful since its debut in 2005, with Selleck also serving as the series producer.
